Walking loops in Citadelpark, Ghent
Two museums live inside one park — the Museum voor Schone Kunsten with its Bosch and Rubens, and across a lawn the S.M.A.K. with whatever the present is doing about painting. The park itself is older than either, planted on a Dutch fort that the French replaced with another fort that the Belgians turned into a garden. The trees are big enough to lose people under. Wear shoes that handle gravel and grass equally.
