A tiny island connected by bridge, Pikisaari holds wooden houses and tar heritage in an area you can cross in fifteen minutes. The tar history is literal — this is where Oulu's tar trade left its mark, in dark-stained buildings and a specific smell that lingers near the old storage sites.
