Walking loops in Temple Bar, Dublin
The cobblestones are uneven enough to punish inattention, and the pub music starts earlier here than anywhere else in Dublin — fiddle and bodhran through open doors by mid-afternoon. Temple Bar gets dismissed as touristy, which it is, but the buildings are genuinely old, the street performers genuinely skilled, and the atmosphere genuinely fun if you stop resisting it. The painted pub fronts photograph well in rain, which is convenient because rain is the default weather setting.
