The scale announces itself from across the river and only intensifies as you climb. St. Vitus Cathedral's Gothic interior swallows sound, and Mucha's Art Nouveau stained glass window glows in afternoon light. Beyond the main courtyards, the Strahov Monastery library is a baroque fever dream of frescoed ceilings and ancient globes.
