The wooden houses here are small enough to make you recalibrate what a home needs to be. Amuri's preserved workers' quarter is one tight block of shared yards and narrow doorways, now a museum you walk through like a whisper. Outside that block, the neighborhood stays low-key and residential, with none of the self-consciousness that usually follows preservation. Laundry on lines, bikes against walls. The scale is so human it almost feels like a dare against the apartment towers nearby.
