A boulevard park running north-south through the city, Hämeenpuisto works like a green zipper holding two halves of Tampere together. Lime trees line both sides, forming a canopy that makes summer walks feel almost ceremonial. The park narrows and widens, passing old stone buildings and quiet benches where someone is always reading. It's not a destination — it's a way of getting somewhere else while accidentally having a nice time. The light through the leaves earns the detour.
