Walking loops in Pyynikki, Tampere
The esker ridge is a leftover from the ice age, and walking its forest trails feels appropriately ancient — pine roots, soft sand underfoot, light filtering through old canopy. Then you reach the observation tower and the doughnut café inside it, and the whole thing becomes wonderfully Finnish. The view from the top shows both lakes and the city caught between them. People come for the panorama and stay for the fresh munkki. The combination has never failed.
