Peacocks wander the formal grounds like they hold the lease, which given their tenure they arguably do. The Palace on the Isle reflects in the lake it sits in, and on summer Sundays free Chopin concerts draw crowds who spread blankets on the grass near the composer's monument. The park is enormous — a proper royal estate — and the paths wind through different moods: French formal gardens, English landscape sections, wooded stretches where the city disappears entirely. Warsaw's best outdoor space by a comfortable margin.
