The Akerselva river cuts through Grunerløkka past old industrial mills converted into studios and cafes. Vinyl shops line Thorvald Meyers gate, their crates organized with a seriousness that borders on devotion. The neighborhood has the easy confidence of a place that's been cool long enough to stop trying.
