Vesterbro walking loops — Copenhagen's Meatpacking District and beyond
The Meatpacking District kept its name and its industrial bones — white-tiled halls now hold cocktail bars and galleries where butchers once worked. Tivoli's roller coasters peek above rooftops a few blocks east, the screams carrying on wind. Vesterbro's transformation from rough to refined happened fast enough that both versions coexist. Istedgade still has edge, the side streets still surprise, and the neighborhood's refusal to become fully polished is exactly what keeps it interesting.
