South of the river, Aninkainen keeps a low profile between the center and the castle. Residential streets with a mix of eras — some wooden houses holding ground against newer apartment blocks. The castle is close enough to walk to, which gives the neighborhood an anchor it doesn't otherwise advertise. Quiet mornings, practical shops, the occasional church spire above the roofline.
